Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Heritage of West Bengal community! These guidelines are designed to foster a positive, respectful, and informative environment for everyone passionate about West Bengal's heritage. By participating in our community features (e.g., comments, reviews), you agree to abide by these rules.

1. Be Respectful and Courteous

  • Treat others as you wish to be treated. Engage in civil discussion, even when you disagree.
  • No personal attacks, insults, or harassment. Focus on the content, not the person.
  • Respect diversity. We welcome people from all backgrounds. Do not post content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.

2. Keep it Relevant

  • Stay on topic. Comments and discussions should relate to the specific content (destination, article, event, etc.) they are associated with.
  • No spam, self-promotion, or solicitations. This includes commercial advertising, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or promotional content for personal businesses or services.

3. Be Factual and Constructive

  • Share accurate information. While personal opinions are welcome, avoid knowingly spreading misinformation or false rumors.
  • Provide constructive feedback. If you have a criticism or disagreement, explain your reasoning clearly and respectfully.
  • Contribute positively. Aim to add value to the discussion, share helpful insights, or ask relevant questions.

4. Protect Privacy

  • Do not share personal information about yourself or others. This includes phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, or other private details.
  • Do not post images or videos of individuals without their explicit consent.

5. No Illegal or Harmful Content

  • Do not post content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or violent.
  • Do not advocate for or encourage any illegal activities.
  • No intellectual property infringement. Do not post content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others.

6. Language

Please use clear, understandable language. While we appreciate the diversity of languages in West Bengal, for broad accessibility, English is preferred for general discussions.

7. Moderation

Our team reserves the right to moderate all content. This includes, but is not limited to, removing content that violates these guidelines, editing posts for clarity or grammar, or temporarily/permanently banning users who repeatedly violate these guidelines.

Moderation decisions are final. We will not engage in debates about specific moderation actions.

8. Report Violations

If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it to us at trust@heritageofbengal.com. Please provide the link to the content and a brief explanation of why you believe it violates the guidelines.
