Overview
Mayapur ISKCON Temple is a major spiritual center and the global headquarters of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Established in the 1970s, it is located in Mayapur, near Nabadwip. The temple is significant as the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who propagated Gaudiya Vaishnavism. The temple features grand idols, regular bhajans and kirtans, Gauranga’s teachings, a museum, and prasad meals. The massive temple under construction, the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, will be among the world’s largest Hindu temples.
Itinerary
Start from Nabadwip, take a boat ride to Mayapur. Attend the morning aarti, explore the ISKCON campus, visit the museum, enjoy prasad, and buy souvenirs from the devotional shop. Evening ferry ride back.
