Overview

Ballal Dhipi is a little-known archaeological site in Bamanpukur, believed to be remains of a Buddhist vihara from the 10th–11th century. It holds ruins of stupas, shrines, and ancient bricks.

Named after the Sena king Ballal Sen, the site gives glimpses into Bengal's early medieval religious life and architectural style.
