The village bustles with looms, dyeing units, and cooperative workshops, providing insight into centuries-old crafts.Sabang Tantipara, located in the Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal, is a renowned weaving village known for its Madur (mat) weaving tradition. The village is home to a large number of families who specialize in this craft, and it's also a significant wholesale market for Madur sticks. Around 4,500 artisans, predominantly women, are involved in the craft of mat weaving in the two districts.
